OUR FARM PRODUCES DOCG, IGT WINES 

AND EXTRAVIRGIN OLIVE OIL


Only grapes and olives from the farm's own are used as ingredients to the DOCG adn IGT certified wines and extravirgin olive oil.

The Tommaso Cei farm adheres to the Consortium of Chianti Classico, respecting the codes and regulations pertaining to the production of DOCG Chianti Classico. Besides it produces, since 2013, organic wines using only grapes grown following the regulations, respecting nature and the surrounding environment.

The farm considers it to comply with the protocols of Organic Agriculture and Food an essential point of its activities with the dual purpose of providing a healthy product to its consumers and for preserving the land and its natural surroundings.



POGGIO AL PRATO

ORGANIC Chianti Classico DOCG 

Production area: Chianti Classico - Tuscany

Cultivar: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino

Alcohol content: 13,5 ° Vol.

Maturation: 12 months in oak barrels

Bottles produced: Around 5000

Sensory characteristics

  • Intense garnet red
  • Fruity and flowery, with raspberry and violet hints. Pleasant notes of wood presents.
  • Mellow, good bodied and well balanced.

This wine is obtained from Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino grapes, grown on our own vineyards in Chianti Classico area. Around 5000 bottles are produced every year.


TREGGIAIA 

ORGANIC Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 

Production area: Chianti Classico - Tuscany

Cultivar: Sangiovese, Colorino

Alcohol content: 13,5 ° Vol.

Maturation: 15 months in oak barrels

Bottles produced: around 1000

Sensory characteristics

  • Intense garnet red
  • Vivid smell, delicate wood presents. Fruity and flowery, with raspberry and cherry hints and violet notes
  • Intense, good bodied, persistent and well balanced

This wine is obtained from Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo grapes, grown on our own Treggiaia vineyard in Chianti Classico area. Around 1000 bottles are produced every year.


RUGANTE 

ORGANIC Tuscany IGT 

Production area: Chianti Classico - Tuscany

Cultivar: Sangiovese, Canaiolo

Alcohol content: 13 ° Vol.

Maturation: 6 months in oak barrels

Bottles produced: around3000

Sensory characteristics

  • Ruby red with violet highlights
  • Fruity perfume, with cherry aroma and delicate wood notes
  • Full flavored, well balanced

This wine is obtained from Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, grown on our own Treggiaia vineyard in Chianti Classico area. Around 3000 bottles are produced every year.


CHIARO

ORGANIC Tuscany IGT

Production area: Chianti Classico - Tuscany

Cultivar: Sauvignon Blanc, Malvasia Bianca del Chianti

Alcohol: content 13 ° Vol.

Maturation: 6 months in steel vats

Bottles produced: Around 2500

Sensory characteristics

  • Yellow with gold highlights
  • Intense perfume, with pineapple and dried fruits hints
  • Flowery and fruity flavour

This wine is obtained from Malvasia and Sauvignon grapes, grown on our own Mezzolla vineyard in Chianti Classico area. Around 2500 bottles are produced every year.


POGGIO AL PRATO

EXTRAVIRGIN OLIVE OIL  


Production area: Chianti Classico - Tuscany

Olive Cultivar: Moraiolo, Frantoiano, Leccino

Acidity: 0,2 ml/lt

Extraction: Cold pressing by 1 day from the harvest

Sensory characteristics

  • Intense yellow with green highlights
  • Pervasive aroma
  • Intense, very sapid to palate

Poggio al Prato Olive Oil is obtained by cold pressing, which gives it an intense greencolor.

It is filtered through cotton layer by a week from extraction in order to preserve full-flavoured and fruity aromas.

Bottles: 0,250 litres - 0,500 litres - 0,750 litres. Steel containers: 3 or 5 litres.
